Rally Duo Out Again
The local rally duo of David Perrelet and Stefan Arndt of Keris Motorsport were back on the tracks rallying this weekend at Tempest 2000.
Through the welcome support of the local North Camp traders, they were able to complete on the local stages and finish a superb 23rd place overall and first from Hart Motor Club.
The event was flagged off by Gerald Howarth MP, who was also present at the prize giving evening ceremony.
David had never driven the car on the loose surface in anger before, but managed to keep fast and clean.
Perrelet said:
"It was nice to see I haven't lost my touch."This was his first step into the rally seat in nine months since the Steyr Puch Manx Rally at the Isle of Man earlier this year. He later added:
"I'd like to thank all our sponsors for their support, particularly The Joke Shop in Farnbourough who also donated the fireworks for the aftershow event, although I'm not too sure if the neighbours were too happy about it!"The team, who are plagued by financial shortfalls this year, finished 2nd in class of the National Championship.
They are keen to find new sponsors for a positive start to next season. - Fleet News (10/11/00)
